TRIANGLE

You talk about your high-speed days
Yesterday was movin’ so much slower than usual
You tried so hard to find your way
You made it so the undertow will take you where you’d like to go
Try to live each day in perfect tune
You must have missed the day they taught the blues
But it seems to me you’re feelin’ like
Your life is one big step behind
But you’ve no idea how many lives that you simplify
 Just by being around
 Though you’re not yet self-employed
There’s no need to feel so self-destroyed

You’ve always been the one to show that every woman is capable
You just have to find your own window
You always let the truth be told no matter how much they try to frown
They still like to know that they’ve been told
You must have missed the day they passed the rules
Even on the nights you felt the fool
Still it seems to me you’re not afraid to be the first one through the gate
It’s a social scene- your hands are clean
Still they run to you like you’re James Dean
It’s enough to tie up Sigmund Freud
But there’s no need to feel so…

You always run emotions high or down to the ground
The only one to hear my cry without a single sound
Always the laugh maker- always the soul shaker
 Maybe it’s time to deploy
 Before we’re all self destroyed
Because it seems to me you’ve lived your life
Like everyday is your day to die
You’re a daddy now, you’ve made us proud
You gave it all for your baby child
I need to know if you’re afraid
If you’re unaware you’ve got it made
The signs are all here- they’ve made themselves clear
The road to life is undefined, but it’s beautified by the memory lines
Of good and bad times- we’re doing just fine.
